The "no refusal" law took effect in July.

The Labor Day enforcement will focus on 16 counties state-wide.

In March, a landslide practically wiped out portions of the southbound lanes near milemarker 143.  The southbound lanes had to be completely shut down for repairs, forcing drivers to take long detours before one southbound lane was eventually reopened in the northbound lanes.
