Death of man found in Campbell Co. ruled suicide

Update: An autopsy has determined that the 81-year-old Georgia man died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

(WBIR – LaFollette) Authorities found a dead unidentified male Sunday afternoon who sustained an apparent gunshot wound in Campbell County.
Authorities responded to the 200 block of Chapel Heights Lane around 2:40 p.m.
The Eighth Judicial District Attorney's Office and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation will continue the ongoing investigation, according to a news release from Chief Deputy Aaron Evans with the Campbell County Sheriff's Office.
Evans said an autopsy will be performed to determine the official cause of death for the man.
