The Tennessee Highway Patrol said snowy and slushy conditions Thursday are to blame for a fatal crash on Interstate 75 in Campbell County.

According to a THP crash report, Jerry L. Crutcher, 69, of Indiana was driving a motor home southbound on I-75 when he lost control near the Stinking Creek exit late Thursday morning. The Motor Home crossed the median and then hit a cable barrier before landing on its side in the roadway. The motor home was also towing a car, which flipped.

A car traveling northbound crashed into the motor home, killing Crutcher in the accident. A passenger in the motor home, along with two people in the car, were injured in the crash.
