ID=20449809A former Campbell County middle school teacher, accused of murdering and kidnapping a missing LaFollette woman, is facing additional robbing and kidnapping charges.

Lonnie Vann appeared in court Monday, where he pleaded not guilty to additional charges, which stem from an armed robbery back in early December.

Vann, 44, was extradited in January from Myrtle Beach, S.C. where authorities said he fled last month after killing Rhonda Daugherty, who went missing Dec. 2, 2014.

Officials said the former teacher also robbed Jim and Dian Fields, owners of Deerfield Golf Course in Campbell County, at gunpoint. The Fields told 10News that Vann was their former employee, who worked at their golf course as a part-time seasonal employee for two consecutive summers about four years ago.

Vann also faces prosecution for allegedly trying to kiss and hug a 13-year-old female student in October 2013. According to documents obtained by 10News, Daughtery's husband, Charles, is a witness in that case.

ID=21535779According to records, Vann was charged in July with solicitation of a minor, tampering with evidence and assault. Authorities said Vann took the teen girl off school property in October 2013 to nearby Coolidge First Baptist Church, where he tried to hug and kiss her. Authorities said Vann also altered images on the church's security camera recordings, attempting to cover up the crime.

Vann's next court date is set for April 13.
