Big South Fork looking for recreation vendors
News

Officials at the Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area (BSF) are looking for folks interested in partnering with them to give visitors more to do.

The BSF is 125,000 acres of untouched wilderness located on the Cumberland Plateau. They get more than 600,000 visitors a year.

The park is currently recruiting any interested applicants to provide hayrides, swimming lessons, guided horse rides, shuttling, or set up food stands.

There will be some requirements, like being opened on weekends and having insurance, but approved applicants will be able to charge a reasonable fee on most days.

For more information, contact the park's fee manager at (423) 569-2404, extension 240, or by email at tish_neal@nps.gov.
