Thousands pause and reflect on Veterans Day

In honor of Veterans Day, bands played each branch's song as they marched down LaFollette's streets. Military veterans also walked in the parade, along with active military members, who carried a gigantic American flag.

One spectator Trenton Burris said the parade was a good history lesson for kids.

Vietnam War veteran Freddie Owens served as Thursday's featured speaker. He has received nearly a dozen military decorations.
