Lawn care worker suspected of breaking into houses

Officers believe they have arrested a suspect involved in a recent string of robberies in Morgan and Scott Counties.

Justin Laymance of Scott County has been charged with one burglary so far, but officers believe he is connected to more.

Sunbright Police Chief Allen Dagley says Laymance did lawn care at two homes which were broken into recently.

Chief Dagley saw the suspect drive by a Sunbright residence that was robbed this weekend around 10:30 Monday morning.

When the chief pulled behind Laymance's vehicle, he says he saw him hiding a jar filled with jewelry underneath the floor mat in the trunk of his car.

Officers also searched a home where Laymance was staying.  There, police found what they believe is a stolen gun, jewelry and a big screen television.
