Mother, boyfriend charged with Morgan Co. toddler's death


A Morgan County mother and her boyfriend are now accused of murdering her 17-month-old son.

On Monday, a grand jury indicted Amanda Beaty and Rodger Dale Prince on 1st degree murder charges in the death of Levi Ryan Beaty.

Investigators said Levi died on June 1, 2014, as the result of child abuse or neglect.

Pair wanted for questioning in Campbell Co. murder investigation


The Campbell County Sheriff's Office and TBI are looking for two people, wanted for questioning in the murder of a Knoxville man.

The body of Kenneth G. Koster, 45, of Knoxville, was found early Monday morning near a home on Enix Lane. Investigators said Wednesday that Foster was murdered.

Now, investigators want to talk to James Bradley Phillips, 43, and Monica Leigh-Ann Briggs, 36. The two are considered armed and dangerous.

6 elk hunt participants selected for 2014


JACKSON, Tenn. (AP) - Six hunters have been selected to hunt elk this year in Tennessee.

According to the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, more than 9,500 people applied for this year's hunt.

The four adult hunters selected through a computer drawing are Clay Oldham of Hartsville, Audie Lee Schrimsher of Maryville, Larry R. Dunn of Baxter and Jimmy Dean Rogers of Jefferson City.
